Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Meal Program


(CNEEB)

For school years 2024-2028 breakfast and lunch will be provided to all Pinnacles Prep scholars at no cost, regardless of free and reduced eligibility status. However, by completing a Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) Application, your family may qualify for additional benefits under free or reduced status such as fee waivers, low-cost internet, Sun Bucks, and scholarships.

You may submit a CNEEB any time during the school year. If you have a decrease in household income, an increase in household size, or become unemployed, or receive Basic Food, TANF, FDPIR, you may be eligible for benefits and should fill out an additional CNEEB at that time.

2024-2025 Household Income Requirements

Submit an application if your total household monthly income is the same or less than the amount listed for the number of household members:

1 member: $2,322 per month

2 members: $3,152 per month

3 members: $3,981 per month

4 members: $4,810 per month

5 members: $5,640 per month

6 members: $6,469 per month

7 members: $7,299 per month

8 members: $8,128 per month

Each additional household member: $830 per month

Family income information supports the continued operation of meal programs in Washington state. In Washington, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) administers federal U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child Nutrition Programs, including the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and Special Milk Program.

Your Privacy & Consent to Share Eligibility

Only designated staff will be informed of the student's eligibility for the sole purpose of providing additional financial assistance and support. Providing this consent is optional and does not affect your child(ren)'s access to no-cost meals.

There are no citizenship requirements for participation in federal Child Nutrition Programs, and immigration status is not requested or disclosed.

Complete the Consent to Share Eligibility form to allow your eligibility status to be shared for other program benefits.

How Much do Meals Cost?

All meals are FREE to all scholars.

Adult: $5.00
Adult meals must be paid for in advance of receiving food in the cafeteria. Cash or check payments can be made in person at the front office prior to receiving a meal. Payments can be mailed to Pinnacles Prep Charter School, Attn: Office Manager, 504 S Chelan Ave, Wenatchee, WA 98801. Visiting scholars are not charged for a meal. Civil Rights Procedure

Sponsors participating in USDA Child Nutrition programs are required to administer program services and benefits in accordance with all Civil Rights laws, regulations, instructions, policies, and guidance related to nondiscrimination. Pinnacles Prep uses the procedures below in accordance with Civil Rights laws.

In all communications sent home to families Pinnacles Prep will use the Civil Rights statement below:

Pinnacles Prep Procedure for Handling Complaints of Discrimination

1.       Complaints of discrimination must be filed within 180 days of the alleged discrimination.

2.       Complaints of discrimination should be given to the Child Nutrition Services director, Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. Director will forward to Food and Nutrition Services, Western Regional Office, San Francisco.

3.       Complaints of discrimination may be written or verbal. Use of a form is not required for a person filing a complaint. If a person is unwilling, unable, or not inclined to put the complaint in writing, the person taking the complaint shall do so. (Complaint form attached.)

4.       Complaints of discrimination should contain as much as possible of the following information:

a.       Name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number or other means of contacting the complainant.

b.      The specific location and name of the entity providing the benefits.

c.       A description of a specific action that caused the complainant to believe that discrimination was a factor.

d.      Basis on which the complainant feels that discrimination occurred (race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity).

e.       Name and titles, if known, and addresses of persons who may have knowledge of the discriminatory action.

f.        The date(s) the alleged discriminatory actions occurred or the duration of such action.
